Feedback loop

A process in which an effect also acts as a causal agent on its own origin.

Consommation ; consumption

Water drawn and not returned to the aquatic environment.

Eau bleue; blue water

Water taken by human beings from rivers, lakes or groundwater.

Eau grise; gray water

Quantity of water used to dilute the pollutants produced by the product's manufacture, before discharging it into the environment.

Eau standardisée; standardized water

Water whose quality is defined and maintained over time, to be compatible with a given use.
