5. Changes in calco-carbonic characteristics

These are treatments that affect all or some of the following parameters: pH, TA, TAC, TH, TCa, TMg, free CO 2 ; the main ones are:

  • neutralization of aggressive CO 2 (to combat corrosion in distribution networks and certain circuits);

  • softening treatments (total or partial TH elimination) and/or decarbonation (TAC elimination);

  • remineralization of water whose TAC and/or TH levels are too low for the desired objective.
