2.1 Storage

Storage can have two objectives: to create a reserve that gives the distributor an additional degree of freedom in the hydraulic management of the resource, or to modify the quality of the raw water; in the most general case, both aspects need to be taken into consideration.

With a reserve of 24 to 48 hours, the main aim is to be able to dilute or even bypass an accidental pollution wave.
