1.solid by-products

• Hydroxide sludge :

  • from conventional processes: essentially floc accumulations collected at the bottom of decanters and containing :

    • suspended matter in the river,

    • those which were in solution and which we managed to render insoluble and decant during processing,

    • powdered activated carbon with organic matter trapped in its pores,

    • iron or aluminium hydrate precipitates formed by coagulating reagents;

  • from specific processes: deferrisation, demanganisation.
