5. Oxidizer classification and selection criteria

From the data in table , we can classify common oxidizing agents according to a scale as shown in figure 3 : oxidizing agents, on the left of the scale, become stronger from bottom to top; their conjugated reducing agents, on the right of the scale, become stronger from top to bottom.
