Taken together, our data show that the rigor with which training is followed by SDPTS dogs results in very high olfactory recognition sensitivity and specificity scores, with dogs able to match the reference odor to the target odor in over 85% of cases on average, regardless of the combination used, and never making any matching errors (100% specificity).
