The transformation developed is a first step towards more sustainable processes for the valorization of limonene in particular, and terpenes more generally. There are many possible applications for limonene, notably in the total synthesis of bioactive molecules, as a green solvent, in cosmetics or in the perfume industry [BIO 2 100][CHV 4 020]
