Biomass; biomass
In ecology, biomass refers to all the organic matter of living organisms in a given place at a given time. A distinction can be made between plant, animal, microbial and fungal biomass, depending on their origin in the living world.
Terpene; terpene
Terpenes are a family of natural products with a hydrocarbon structure (containing only carbon and hydrogen atoms) derived from the C5 isoprene unit. Mainly found in the plant kingdom, lower molecular weight terpenes often have olfactory properties. Terpenes are often used in perfumes and cosmetics.
