3. The constants of any project
To adapt project management to the new dimensions it must embrace during this period of transformation, it is essential to revisit its two components: the definition of the expected outcome (the “product”) and the process for achieving it (the “process”).
The guiding principle is that of the systems approach. It serves two objectives: to account for the full diversity of contexts while still proposing constants dictated by the current situation. This approach, which is structured around the three pillars of community, territory, and project, must indeed be flexible while simultaneously identifying tangible paths to progress. The systems approach has the advantage of being able to address complexity while remaining practical. And the concept of constants allows for its continued application while ensuring a cross-cutting approach across different use cases.
