Tower crane features

Tower cranes fall within the scope of European Directive 2006/42/EC of May 17, 2006 on the design of work equipment, known as the "Machinery Directive". This directive sets out the technical rules governing the design of machines, which have been transposed into Appendix 1 of Article R. 4312–1 of the French Labor Code. As a result, their application is mandatory.

Tower cranes are subject to the CE self-certification procedure. This means that it is the person responsible for placing the machine on the market who declares, under his own responsibility, that his machines conform to the technical rules applicable to them.
