3. Lightweight prefabrication
The study of joint sealing in lightweight prefabrication covers a wide variety of joint types. Here, we present just a few examples. For more detailed information, please refer to specialized literature (cf.

Generally speaking, the SNJF's professional rules and DTU 44-1 specify the sealants suitable for light prefabrication and the corresponding dimensions. These documents only deal with expansion joints less than 30 mm wide (table

). The professional rules also specify that flashing joints (
[C 3 660],
figure 8) are currently permitted, provided that an elastomeric sealant is used, the joint base is flat, and the minimum recommended dimensions are respected.
