Pareto Analysis (80/20 Rule)
A statistical method used to identify the main causes of a phenomenon. When applied to energy consumption, it ranks consumption categories in descending order to identify the 20% of categories that account for 80% of total consumption. These categories represent the priority areas to be investigated first.
EEA (Energy Efficiency Action)
Any technical, organizational, or behavioral measure that reduces the energy consumption of a site or process while maintaining equivalent service levels. Energy efficiency measures are the concrete result of identifying and prioritizing areas for improvement.
