6. Typology of gaseous emissions in foundries
Following the publication of the BREF fonderie in 2005, the Centre Techniques des Industries de la Fonderie (CTIF) carried out a number of projects (at French and European level) to try to understand the mechanisms by which certain pollutants are formed in foundries, and to prepare the sector for future regulatory constraints on smoke emissions. .
