4. Study methods

To determine whether a family is summable, it's a good idea to have practical criteria and a sufficient number of examples. The calculation of the family sum is illustrated in the article Summatory procedures.

4.1 General methods

Since the summability of a family reduces, by definition, to that of the norm family, it is possible, at least in theory, to assume that all families are positive. We'll make this assumption explicit where appropriate.
