 INTRODUCTION

The analysis of non-stationary signals requires an extension of stationary methods – and in particular of the frequency-only Fourier transform (TF) –, by introducing a temporal aspect. The theory of these methods – sliding-window Fourier analysis (FFG) and wavelet transform (TO) – is presented in a first part [AF 4 510]. The experimental applications presented here are based on fluid mechanics. They provide a concrete demonstration of the potential of these analysis tools.
