11.  Logistics traceability

11.1  Traceability: a must for logistics service providers

A logistics service provider such as CA Logistiques acts as a warehouse, order picker and shipper for one or more specific customers. The customer buys products from various suppliers, and asks them to deliver them via the logistics provider.

CA Logistiques also distributes food supplements, notably baby milk, which leads organizations such as the DGCCRF (Direction Générale de la Concurrence, de la Consommation et de la Répression des Fraudes), a department of the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry and the Digital Economy, to carry out periodic food safety checks. Of course, the service provider itself carries out random checks on sensitive products such as parapharmaceuticals.
