2.1 Evolving software capabilities
In parallel with the explosion in computing performance, the tools that control computers have evolved. From the very simple binary language, where each element of the calculation had to be designed and programmed in binary code, there is now a panoply of tools that can manage all the functions of an information system synthetically, and with programming languages very close to natural languages.
