1.1 Basic principles
New self-propelled forklift-trucks are work equipment covered by European Machinery Directive 98/37/EC of June 22, 1998, which incorporates Directives 89/392/EEC, 91/368/EEC, 93/44/EC and 93/68/EC.
It follows that :
all trucks must be CE marked;
Vendors (manufacturer or importer) must issue users with a "CE" declaration of conformity.
