6. Performing interventions

The realization function consists of carrying out the necessary preventive or corrective actions. Its objectives are either to ensure that the equipment is in the specified normal operating condition, or (and/or) to restore it to this condition if it is not, within the prescribed deadlines and using the resources available. It starts on the date set by the scheduler and uses the procedures drawn up by the preparation department.

The project includes :

• Compliance with safety rules, in particular the consignment of equipment in accordance with procedures (even if carried out by operating personnel, these actions can logically be considered part of the "execution" function).
