Who is involved in feedback? Is there a feedback profession?

All those involved in a system need to be involved in system feedback. A wide range of organizations are involved in system feedback: not only those within the system who are responsible for its operation, but also those responsible for systems which have a relationship or interface with the system concerned, as well as public authorities with safety responsibilities whenever the system concerned may affect the health or safety of workers, the public or the environment.

First and foremost, everyone, depending on their responsibilities, is a client of feedback. From the basic operator, for whom the experience of his predecessors and colleagues is invaluable, to the executive who has to make strategic decisions, everyone will be more precise and certain in their choices if their...
