Mechanism; mechanism

Mobile assembly composed of fixed assemblies or isolated parts.

Functional requirement

Geometric constraint imposed on the mechanism between end surfaces belonging to this mechanism.

End surface; ending surface

Surface belonging to a part of the mechanism to which the functional requirement relates.

Composant; component

Commercial component used to connect parts (screws, pins, bearings, etc.). The quotation is imposed by the supplier.
