The structure of the nomenclature enables groupings to be made according to a logic that is easy for users to understand, and facilitates information retrieval.

Parts are displayed at the lowest level of the BOM, as they are the most detailed elements to be managed. Moving up the structure tree, it is important to identify the level which, while defining groupings, also defines the product and its diversity for the entire company.
