7.1 National Institute for Research and Safety

The Institut national de recherche et de sécurité (INRS) is an association (law of July 1 er 1901), set up under the aegis of the Caisse nationale de l'assurance maladie, and managed by a joint board of directors.

INRS assists the Caisse nationale d'assurance maladie (French national health insurance fund), regional health insurance funds, health, safety and working conditions committees, companies, and anyone - employer or employee - with an interest in prevention.

INRS collects, prepares and distributes all documentation relating to occupational health and safety: brochures, leaflets, posters, films, bibliographical information, etc....
