9. Conclusion
We have observed that companies are handling an ever-increasing amount of information, which needs to be managed and organized by imposing a single data management system, accessible to all in real time, under the control of a manager. The omnipresence of IT in industrial activities helps to meet this objective. Of course, you need to be able to communicate with these IT tools. If simultaneous engineering is the key to meeting the "cost, lead time, quality" challenge, it is not a panacea on its own. It must be integrated in such a way as to remain consistent with the company's policy and the IT tools used, in a way fitting into a project management methodology.
