6. Glossary – Definitions

watch target identification

It's a matter of defining the themes on which monitoring is to be deployed. Specifically, the subjects to be actively monitored need to be defined and prioritized according to their degree of importance.

Data collection

It aims to gather facts, opinions, studies... on the themes defined in the previous targeting stage. These elements are gathered from formal or informal sources.

Comité de veille; watch committee

The main role of the Watch Steering Committee is: to supervise the targeting of watch topics; to make proposals to General Management for actions to be taken; to provide support to the Watch Coordinator in coordinating the watch network.
