2. Contract types

The various export, cooperation and location strategies are all underpinned by contracts, whether simple or complex, and with a strong (and growing) emphasis on technology transfer and cooperation and partnership relations. The most classic contracts include :

  • contract of sale, contract of carriage ;

  • agency or license agreement ;

  • complex and/or "implicit" (or not) contracts perceived as specifically legal by laymen, such as :

    • Incoterms,

    • documentary credit,

    • bank guarantees.
