3. Supervision for agility
Agile management approaches are recognized as more effective in environments where players are confronted with varied and unpredictable situations, which is the case for most internal projects. For this reason, the principles and practices proposed in this article are based on these approaches. The critical points that justify an agile approach are that problems should be handled at the right level and with the right people, and that feedback for decision-making should be transparent.
However, these approaches require a great deal of energy on the part of managers to be implemented, as the level of delegation they require is not normally that which is spontaneously put in place by the self-organization of the social system that is an organization. As a result, their implementation needs to be supervised.
