Four key packaging requirements
A packaging material must meet the following four fundamental requirements.
Ensure that packaged products are well protected mechanically, so that their basic properties are not altered by repeated handling.

Ensure that the product will keep for its best-before date (BBD) or minimum durability date (MDD, formerly known as UBD), which translates into a few days to 24 months.
Marketing is carried out either :
under negative cold conditions at – 20 °C;
in a refrigerated chain between + 3 °C and + 6 °C ;
at room temperature ;
under tropical conditions....
