Packaging designed to contain dangerous goods must ensure the safety of people and property while being handled, transported, stored...

As the most fragile constraints are those of transport (shocks, vibrations, handling and manipulation), reference will be made to the various texts in force applicable to transport by land, sea and air. Packaging designed to contain dangerous goods must :

  • withstand all mechanical and physico-chemical stresses;

  • retain its contents;

  • be compatible with its content;

  • preserve other goods ;

  • be appropriate to the hazards presented.
