Regardless of the type of household waste treatment adopted by local authorities, it will be increasingly necessary for consumers to be able to identify their packaging materials, so they know what to do with them after use.

Aerosol cans
Systematic tests carried out by the CFA (Comité Français des Aérosols) and LEREM in 1993 demonstrated that aerosol cans with steel or aluminum casings present no danger, and can be treated as ordinary household waste in recycling processes.
