3.1 Compatibility with bonding materials

Paper and cardboard
Ordinary paper and cardboard can be glued with all types of glue: vegetable, animal, emulsion (vinyl or copolymer), latex, hot-melt, etc.
On the other hand, coated and varnished paper and cardboard justify the use of hot-melt adhesives, polyurethanes or highly adhesive (tacky) products such as acrylics or VAC/E (vinyl acetate/ethylene) emulsions.

Plastics
Plastics can only be bonded with very specific adhesives: certain SBS- and SIS-based hot melts, polyurethanes, and a few highly adhesive emulsion adhesives (VAC/E, acrylics).
