2. Engineering polymers and innovative solutions

These polymers are produced in smaller quantities and exhibit exceptional properties (Figure 8 ) in terms of: H 2 O and O 2 barrier properties, heat resistance, and mechanical strength. Some have been specifically designed for use as binders in the broad field of coextrusion.

Although their higher price point cannot compete with mass-market polymers, the thin gauges used and the performance they deliver make them essential materials for meeting the requirements of the retail sector and the pharmaceutical industry.
