Clapet anti-retour; back flow valve

Mechanical device located in front of the injection screw. It allows the material to flow from the rear to the front of the screw during dosing, but prevents it from flowing backwards during the cavity filling phase.

Cycle à vide; dry cycle

Injection cycle without filling, holding or cooling phase. It is designed to evaluate the performance of the injection molding machine in terms of speed, excluding factors related to part production.

Front matière; melting front

Limit between the part of the cavity filled with plastic and the part still empty, during the cavity filling phase.

Mattress; cushion

Position of screw at end of hold.
