4. Effect of material on morphology

The type of polymer, the presence of fillers (if any), the type of blowing agent (chemical method), or the type of gas (physical method) are key factors that affect the part’s morphology.

4.1 Effect of loads

Fillers or fibers can improve the properties of the polymer, but they can also alter the cellular structure of the lightweight material.
