1.1 The benefits of coextrusion flows

Coextrusion processes make it possible to combine, within a single product, the qualities of each of the constituent polymers (impact resistance, scratch resistance, aesthetic appearance, barrier properties), while achieving good adhesion between the different layers. In some cases, it can be as simple as using a layer of lower-quality recycled polymer between two layers of virgin polymer. Over the last few years, these processes have seen considerable development in the food packaging sector.
