7. Criminal and administrative penalties

The Environmental Code provides for specific criminal or administrative fines in the event of non-compliance with certain legal and regulatory provisions contained therein. These financial penalties are indicated here when the implementing decrees of the Anti-Waste and Circular Economy Act (AGEC) of February 10, 2020, have been published.

Where this article does not specify a criminal penalty for a prohibition or obligation relating to plastics, criminal penalties may nevertheless be imposed depending on the context, on the legal basis of more general provisions.
