2.1 Tactile area

In the field of materials, touch differs from the other senses (acoustic, vision, olfaction) in that it is the result of a voluntary process on the part of the observer. Tactile exploration requires repeated, slow gestures (different manipulations of the object may be necessary) and reduced fields of exploration (palmar or digital in the case of manual perception) .
