8. Mistakes to avoid

8.1 Don't underestimate your needs

The implementation of REACh and other chemical regulations can "explode" the IT needs of companies managing a large number of references. This is particularly true for intermediate players, who have to manage information flows up and down the supply chain in addition to internal flows. As a result, the notion of size is no longer linked solely to the company's workforce, and the tools traditionally designed for SMIs may prove insufficient.
