3. Priority actions: find out why VLEP or action thresholds are exceeded
You need to identify the cause(s) of the measured overexposure, which can occur in one of two ways:
Case 1 - Anomaly identified during the initial phase: repeat your risk assessment on the GEH workstations concerned to define corrective measures for the work situation.
Case 2 - Anomaly during a periodic inspection: identify whether the statistical hazard had previously led to an incorrectly corrected situation being regarded as normal, or whether it was due to a deviation in the characteristics of the installations or work practices.
In the first case, you're back to case 1, and have to repeat your risk assessment.
In the second case, you need to carry out a comparative study of production process parameters.
