9. Elevators

  • In compliance with standard NF P 82-210 :

    • they are not considered as a means of evacuation, except in the case of homes for the disabled;

    • they must always be accessible from the common areas; if the elevator is private, it must be double-service (door on the dwelling side with the same fire rating as the shaft + door from a common circulation);

    • They must be separated from parking lots and basement cellars by an airlock.

  • Priority elevators (required for 4th family)

    In compliance with standard NF P 82-207 (April 1976), they feature :

    • a control device with :

      • a level of access for firefighters,...
