    Following a number of fires in Europe and France, the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion and the Ministry of the Interior have jointly decided to strengthen the regulatory framework for facade work, in particular by limiting the risk of fires spreading from the outside. These new provisions will apply to all façade renovation work for which a prior declaration or building permit application is submitted from 1 er January 2020.

    • The first decree concerns alterations to mid-rise residential buildings and specifies acceptable constructive solutions for renovations to these facades.
