Accident

An undesired event, such as the emission of a toxic substance, a fire or an explosion resulting from uncontrolled developments during the operation of an establishment, which leads to consequences/damage for people, property or the environment, and for the company in general. It is the realization of a dangerous phenomenon, combined with the presence of vulnerable targets exposed to the effects of this phenomenon (according to the modified decree of May 10, 2000).

Risk analysis

Systematic use of information to identify hazardous phenomena and to estimate the resulting risk (ISO/IEC 73), (according to circulaire du 10 mai 2010 ).
