6. What are the requirements for filling?
Once the "packaging" or "large packaging" has been chosen, care must be taken to ensure that a maximum filling ratio is respected, so as to exclude any leakage of contents or permanent deformation of the "packaging" or "large packaging" due to expansion of the liquid under the effect of temperature variations. This maximum rate may be a specific rate given by the packing instruction, or a general standard rate, the calculation formula for which is given in § 4.1.1.4 of the ADR.
Once filled, the "packaging" or "large packaging" must be closed by the means specified in the approval. It must be free of any product spillage and leakproof.
