1. Explain to employees why the employer must require them to wear PPE

As part of your PPE training program, you need to explain to your employees how their employer's responsibility is engaged, and the details of these obligations. These explanations should include at least the following elements.

The general principles of prevention set out in articles L. 4121-1 to L. 4121-5 of the Code du travail website impose a duty of result on employers to protect the health and safety of their employees.

Thus, for PPE made mandatory following a safety analysis of a workstation, the employer must :

  • provide the employees concerned with the appropriate PPE;

  • inform the employees concerned of the obligation...
