5. Conclusion

The information gathered in this article constitutes a technical basis for a pertinent analysis of the risk of gas explosion in a confined environment in an industrial installation. The application of this knowledge to the prevention of gas explosions and the protection of installations constitutes both a technical and a regulatory field.

From a technical point of view, the formation of flammable gaseous phases that could explode and cause damage must be avoided. From a regulatory standpoint, you need to know and comply with ATEX regulations in Europe. These indicate which equipment is to be used according to the ATEX zoning of the installation or workshop in question.
