6.1 POI/PPI for ICPEs

One of the stages in the transportation of LPG involves loading, filling, or unloading at storage facilities. These facilities are classified as facilities requiring environmental protection (ICPE). In particular, those subject to high-threshold authorization are required to have an internal operations plan (POI), under the responsibility of the company manager, which specifies the operational response to an incident whose consequences remain within the facility. When the incident or its immediate or potential consequences extend beyond the site’s boundaries, a Specific Intervention Plan (PPI) is activated under the responsibility of the prefect.
