4. Mandatory training for the transport of LPG

Depending on the type of LPG transport involved, the mandatory training requirements for drivers vary. In addition to the training required to operate a vehicle, there are several different scenarios to consider.

4.1 For transporting LPG cylinders

It is important to distinguish between two cases:

  • transport of a total net mass of LPG not exceeding 333 kg;

  • transport of a total net mass of LPG exceeding 333 kg.

In the first case, according to the ADR, particularly in the context of partial exemptions, the driver may have completed only a basic awareness training course.
