4. What impact does this have on the classification of mixtures (and substances with impurities)?
If you need to classify and label a mixture, several methods are generally suggested, depending on the type of information you need:
use of mixture data ;
extrapolation principle or classification based on the components of the mixture.
If you are basing your decision on the ingredients of a mixture, and this mixture contains a substance with a harmonized classification, you must take this information into account. Indeed, the classification of the substance may justify the classification of the mixture for certain hazard classes.
