6. Conclusions and outlook

From this article, we can retain that biocontrol is part of the third agricultural revolution: after mechanization and chemical inputs, biology and biochemistry are at the heart of a new generation of cultivation tools with biofertilizers, biostimulants, biopesticides and natural and mineral substances. However, to achieve the objectives of the Ecophyto II ⁺ plan, we need to speed up research and innovation so that biocontrol can justify its ambitions for a modern, competitive agriculture that creates jobs in France and is concerned with safeguarding biodiversity, soil fertility and respect for the environment....
