1. Using the First Principle

1.1 Work exchanged on the shaft of a turbomachine

For the special case of open systems in steady state, of which the turbomachine is an example, we can simplify the expression of the First Principle of Thermodynamics (cf. relation 13).

The modified expression of the First Principle is written :
